Ed è anche interessante notare che, sempre nel 1953, il tentativo di lanciare un modello federale fu promosso esperito da un'Assemblea di parlamentari l'Assemblea della Comunità Europea del Carbone e dell'Acciaio a cui fu dato il mandato di realizzare "una costruzione federale o confederale, fondata sui principi della separazione dei poteri e basata, in particolare, su un sistema bicamerale" (progetto di trattato sulla Comunità europea di difesa CED).
And it is also interesting to note that the attempt to promote a federal model in 1953 was made by an assembly of parliamentarians the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) Assembly which was given the mandate to set up a "federal or confederate body, founded on the principles of the separation of powers and based, in particular, on a bicameral system" (according to the Treaty setting up the European Defence Community (EDC) which never came into force).
